Silat Pukulan Langkah Mati Accelerated Training course

The British Silat Association was the first Silat group in the UK and possibly Europe to offer an accelerated Instructor training program, under its founding Instructor Jak Othman.

We continue to do it for a variety of reasons. Silat is still a little known art and while there are people who want to learn it, there are not enough instructors around to fill this need. I have been teaching these in Luton since the early 1990’s.

For some time other silat teachers sought to copy us and promote students to instructor level fast. They appear to have come and gone, an we still continue to offer our training, competitively priced, and assuring you of the quality that comes from decades of training, and refining, and also of the consistence that comes from being the leading Silat Instructor in Britain for 25 years.

I am now looking to expand our network, and am looking for experienced martial artists, to train in our progressive style of Silat, and become Assistant Instructors- Jurulatih Muda.

This is an opportunity for a teacher to add silat into their school or curriculum alongside their current training.

IN January 2013 we will be rolling out the new program for PLM Europe. our system now incorporates drills and techniques from Silat Lincah Malaysia, Pancasila Gayong Harimau, Pukulan Madura, Lightning Scientific Arnis and boxing.

Training is one day a month aiming to tech a couple of months work in the day enabling you to progress faster.

The days training is aimed at learning and understanding techniques and drills to a level where they can then be refined over the coming month in your own personal training.

To that end we have reorganised the syllabus to make it more modular and easy to learn and build on one month to the next.

The accelerated training is such that you will be taught at an faster rate than in a normal class simply because there is less time needed for warm up and cool down periods in 1 day than 8 sessions, so we can focus more on the actual training and techniques.

We are looking for brown belt or above level of martial artists, school owners or club instructors who want to develop into another area, and who want to open a school.

In silat Guru Glenn has a spectacular and impressive lineage having trained in Silat at source with some of the best around.

You will learn a combat effective tested art, with a recognised lineage and pedigree. We consider silat to be a family art, so I consider students and teachers to be part of our family. In that sense you will receive our full support both in and out of the school, and will receive help and direction with advertising and marketing. There is a list of other benefits to joining us as a group as well as learning one of the most renowned effective traditional arts around.

Silat Super Seminar!

We are having a Silat Seminar on the 9 February at 11:00 until 10 February at 16:00

Ramridge Junior School, Luton, Beds LU2 9AH

Seminar combining Pukulan and Silat- Lincah and Gayong and Pukulan Bukti Negara.
Pukulan is one of the most effective styles I have come across for short close fighting, and Bukti Negara, through Pendekar Paul De Thouars, and now Walter Van den Broeke, is known worldwide as a style that is absolutely at the top of the silat tree for its effectiveness.

Silat’s Lincah and Gayong are Malaysia’s 2 most practiced styles and I have been one of the few people lucky enough to train in both. combining this with the understanding of mechanics and technical insight given by Pukulan, makes Silat Pukulan Langkah Mati an art that combines the effective close fighting of pukulan and the style grace and combat effectiveness of traditional silat.

Come along and have fun!
